Additional Information

Dr. Banks began her career at an alternative high school where students were grouped more by their disciplinary record than by their math ability, an experience that helped shape her patience and adaptability in teaching. Later, she earned her master’s degree and taught at an expatriate secondary school overseas. Her experience as an adjunct at Utah Valley University inspired her to earn a Ph.D. to teach full time at the college level.
