Biography
Jie Liu has been teaching at Utah Tech University since 2006, offering a wide range of courses in the Mathematics Department. In addition to her work with college students, she is passionate about STEM outreach programs for K–12 students and regularly leads initiatives that extend mathematics education beyond the classroom.
Previous Teaching
Before pursuing graduate study in the United States, Liu taught full-time in China. While completing her Ph.D., she also worked as an adjunct faculty member.

Additional Information
Liu serves as Director of the Red Rock Math Circle, which engages middle and high school students in problem solving and deeper mathematical thinking. She is also the Southern Utah Chapter Coordinator of MATHCOUNTS, a national program supporting middle school students through competitions and enrichment activities.
