Paula Temple

Biography

Paula Temple has dedicated much of her life to helping students gain confidence in mathematics. She began teaching at Utah Tech (then Dixie College) in 1989, where she directed the Developmental Math Skills Program. That role allowed her to combine her mathematics background with her understanding of learning disabilities, strengthening her commitment to serving diverse learners. After earning tenure, she spent six years in the pharmaceutical industry before returning to higher education at Scottsdale Community College, where she helped launch a computer math lab and develop hybrid and online courses. Temple also worked as a small business owner before returning to Utah Tech, where her 20 years of teaching experience continue to fuel her dedication to student success.

Previous Teaching

Temple has taught mathematics at Utah Tech, Scottsdale Community College, and across the Maricopa Community College District. She has created innovative hybrid and online courses, collaborated on curriculum development, and directed student success initiatives throughout her career.
